This bookis tough with it subject matter but it's by far one of the best I've read by martina cole. It's realistic gritty and at times very disturbing it takes you into the deepest darkest recesses of a perverts twisted mind, but she's also an advocate of don't judge people on appearance alone she proves this with the characters of tommy and Brittany. This is not for the faint hearted that's why I gave four stars but I like the fact that it's not the usual story for martina and for the fact that she brings some important issues to the forefront with this book

Martina Cole's books are without a doubt so enthralling that when I pick a new one up it is finished within 2 days and what a great read it always turns out to be. The Know is a book that stays with you days after you have finished it! Joannie Brewer is a prostitute who has 3 kids with who knows who; they are teased as being a Heinz 57 family, Jon-Jon is black, Jeannette looks Turkish and Kiera is a beautiful English Rose. The story reveals the trials and tribulations that this close knit family go through; and it tugs deeply at my heartstrings. I won't be giving anything away when I say that Kiera is murdered and the family search for the answers as to her abduction and death. Prostitute or not I felt deeply for Joannie and her family. Can't wait for the next one!

ANOTHER ONE OF THE GREAT WRITERS.....I WOULD COMPARE HER TO A "MALE" GODFATHER WRITER LIKE MARIO PUZO.....I PERSONALLY LIKE HER, BETTER THAN THE PUZO BOOKS, ...AS HER BOOKS ARE NOT SO DETAILED IN POLITICS.....I HAVE READ "ALL" OF HER BOOKS.....AND ENJOYED "ALL" OF THEM...WHICH IS MOSTELY BASED ON THE "LONDON" MAFIA......SHE CERTAINLY GIVES YOU AN INDEPTH PRECEPTION OF THAT LIFE...AND ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE "LONDON" JARGON SHE USES IN ALL OF THESE LONDON MAFIA BOOKS.....ALSO LIKE THE "DIFFERENT CHARACTERS " SHE CREATES AND BRING TO LIFE OF "THEIR THOUGHTS"....RATHER THAN ONLY "ONE CHARACTERS" THOUGHTS.VERY INTERESTING AND VERY INFORMATIVE....I WILL CONTINUE TO READ ALL OF HER BOOKS.

I have read all her books bar the latest(waiting for it to come down in price) and I am now on my second reading on my kindle. I enjoy the relationships of them all in each book .They are also very different from my other mystery books I read so it makes a change.
