The Modigliani Scandal (English Edition) Reviews
So and so, not according to what I was expecting from K. Follett. It starts nicely but when reading further you get confused.
gut geschrieben, jedoch merkt man, dass es sich um ein Buch aus der Anfangszeit handelt. Hat noch nicht den gleichen Stil wie seine großen Werke.
Reportedly one of the first books done by Follett, theaction is not as intense as later works. ( Lie Down WithLions ). Story concept is easy to follow but interest is maintained by the introduction of several crosses and double-crosses. Good description of story locations adds to the enjoyment.
I read other books by Follett and I must recognize that this is not his best book. However I enjoyed the last 50 pages and especially the end. I didn't appreciate the description of Italy, the country I live in. Italians are not so stupid as Follett describes!!!
I read this book based on Amazon's Book Matcher recomendations. It was ok, and I read it fairly quickly (less than a week), but it is definitely not as good as his more recent works. I wouldn't go searching for a copy of this book (borrow it from the library, if you feel that you must read it).
It is true that this novel is no masterpiece. However, it offers an interesting glimpse into the art trade and is absolutely worth reading for its twists and turns.
so ugly review in the web page. no helpful and stop review this book for so stupid man. the book is good few people read it.
